Relationships come first. Tribecca is built for owners and builders to meet as people, help each other, and build relationships worth continuing. Two things protect that room, with no exceptions: every member owns and runs a business of their own, and nobody turns it into a prospecting floor — unsolicited selling, recruiting, and working the room for leads have no place at dinners, at afterparties, or in in-app messaging.
01Who holds a seat
Tribecca is for owner-builders: entrepreneurs, founders and business owners running something of their own. A bakery, a fund, a software company, a landscaping crew — the industry never matters; ownership and intent do. Employees, corporate managers, firm consultants, and job-seekers aren't a fit for the table, and our screening reflects that.
02Relationships first
Tribecca is a place for owners and builders to meet as people first — to talk shop, trade ideas, help each other, and turn strangers into friends. Talk about your business. Ask questions. Share what you're building. Just don't turn the room into a prospecting floor. Unsolicited selling, recruiting, or working the room for leads gets in the way of the relationships we're here to build. If someone crosses that line, flag it privately in the app — the reporter is never named, a first flag earns a direct reminder, and repeated flags from different members lead to suspension.
03Show up
A table of six only works if six people arrive. RSVP closes 36 hours before dinner; after that, your seat is a commitment to five other people. If you can't make it, cancel before the cutoff. No-shows are tracked and visible until you've shown up again — reliability is the currency here.
04Protect the room
What's said at the table stays at the table. Guest lists show a name and a photo, nothing more. Venue addresses are shared only with confirmed guests — don't repost them. Don't photograph tablemates without asking. Treat other members' businesses, numbers, and plans as confidences, because they are.
05Rate the vibe honestly
Every dinner ends with a quick rating: was it a good room and food worth staying for? It's how we match better tables, cool down bad pairings, and keep great groups connected. Rate honestly — it's anonymous to your tablemates and it's the engine that makes next Wednesday better than this one.
06What happens when rules break
Reminders come first. Suspension follows repeated or serious violations — suspended members can't book or be matched. Every suspension can be appealed, and appeals are read by a human. Removal is the last resort and is permanent.
